Calligraphy

So I addressed my invitations with a calligraphy pen. Of course, my envelopes are slippery and so it smears easily. (Didn't think about this BEFORE I bought the envelopes). Anyway, does anyone know of anything you can cover the writing with so it doesn't smear as easily?

Is there an art supply store near you?  I would try giving them a call.They have to make something though, in "Shakespeare in Love" they showed him sprinkling something over the writing so it would set...if they had something to do it back in those days they have to have it now lol.And I would probably put another piece of paper under your hand as you write just so you don't smear it as you go across the paper.
