I would be more than mad!

I just saw this article on yahoo, and thought it was crazy!   I would never imagine having someone treating other's property like that, espically when it is their job to handle it carefully.  What do you think?

Re: I would be more than mad!

  • i saw that on the news this morning!

I think... that dude was so identifiable that he got his butt fired right there.
  • i saw that.  I would be furious!  My UPS guy left my invites in front of my door.  A neighbor stole them!  I was so mad.  Luckily, the company sent a whole new order throuh a different delivery company.

  • This is just straight up rude, and lazy!  Fed-ex should have higher expectations of their employees.

  • Wow that is pretty bad.

  • Our postman does things like this. Our mail is frequently unreadable because he drops it on the grass in the rain. Parcels get dropped on the floor because he's too lazy to put it on the porch even.

I'm home all day. I know when he comes round. I went out one day after I saw him turn the corner - there was the 'we tried to deliver your parcel' card. I know for a fact he didn't try to deliver it. It was still at the Post Office.

When I tried to ring the Post Office, there was nothing but an out of service dial tone.

The lady next door to us is elderly. She told me recently that bending for the mail he left on the ground, she nearly fell into the ditch.

At first I put it down to him being new. But, he's piissing me off now. I'm going to complain when the holiday is over.
  • Some people are pretty rude!  I am sure that it can be a terrible job at times but if you take a job what ever happened to taking pride in your work and doing your best.
We do not have door to door delivery where we live but maybe that is for the best.  At least I know my mail is safe and secure in my box at the post office!

This right here is the reason people should be careful about where they put things.  It is annoying for us young enough to have to pick it up, or go get it, but they must not think about the elderly that they could be affecting.

Yep. I keep a special eye out for that couple now. Her husband still tries to do all the lawn/house stuff and he fell off his ladder a couple months ago. Wasn't hurt seriously - few bruises - but still. I always make a point to just go out and say hi, and even if he says he doesn't neeed help I stick around a little and chat while he's busy.

She is crazy. They showed up on my doorstep 2 weeks later completely gone through and half bent and ruined. I also talked with the ups guy and told him what happened and healed sure to deliver it to me at work no matter the address listed.

Hence why they addressed this immediately and fired the guy.
  • It looks a little staged to me...and isn't it weird that the package is just the monitor in a box? Shouldn't it have an outter box with shipping information on it?

    Just looks weird.

But yeah, people are careless and negligent. I get stuff from the post office that is destroyed all the time and it really p*sses me off. I just hope my invitations don't get all chewed up by the post office before delivery!

  • I was slightly disturbed when I saw how our luggage was being loaded onto the plane when we were returning from our honeymoon. I know luggage will be a little roughed up from all of the transferring and stuff when we fly, but these workers were basically tossing the bags up in the air to throw them on the belt up to the plane. I'm glad we had packed our breakables pretty well.
  • I heard about this. I also heard the guy DIDN'T even get fired. He is just "not working" with customers anymore. Which is so wrong he should have been fired quickly that is not how customers should be treated. I also heard the customer tried to resolve things with customer service first and they wouldn't work with him so that's when he posted the video online. And now they have replaced the monitor and everything. I would be so mad!

Our mailman has pulled stuff like this all the time.  Don't bother waiting - call the 800 number on USPS and complain.  Tell them everything - you'd be surprised how quickly they act.

My printer came in just it's box, the packing label might be hard to see in the video.
