So I posted a picture of my dream dress on FB and one of my friends who happens to be getting married this coming Friday posted back
"dude do not get that dress! lets just say wait till u see mine and you will understand"
She then went on to tell me she had the same exact dress.
Reasons I'm irritated:
1.) her wedding is this week...mine is in 9 months. What difference would it make even if we HAD chosen to wear the same exact dress, especially considering we don't have ANY friends in common who will be at both weddings. (note: I don't have any clue what her dress looks like, I haven't seen it)
2.) After I talked to her for a minute, she revealed it's not ACTUALLY the same dress, but my god, the ruching at the midsection looks REALLY similar! Heaven forbid any wedding dress even remotely resemble another one!
I pretty much just tried to ignore what she said because I understand her big day is this week and the last thing I wanted to do was cause drama with her, I just needed to vent about it.
Has this happend to any of you? Friends telling you not to get a certain dress because it looks like the one they wore/are wearing/want to wear?
