It wasn't awful.....exactly (updated with PIP)

So....after all your kind words and suggestions I had my DB experience today. I think I broke every rule and fell for every sales tactic in the book. I walked out feeling more stressed out than before AND with a dress that looks beautiful and flattering on me but isn't my dream dress.

All in all, it wasn't nearly as horrible and awful as I thought it would be. The sales woman was very attentive, supportive and receptive to my dress selections. I didn't feel like a plus sized bride. She made me feel "normal."

I took my mom with me and perhaps I should have taken other ppl's advice and gone alone. While she meant well and only had my best interests at heart, it was VERY obvious which dress she liked and which ones she hated and that did cloud my decision. I could probably write pages on all the details of the day but I'm tired and overly emotional. Maybe I'll feel better about it tomorrow.

So just to recap, I brought along my own long-line bra (purchased from ebay for $20 including S&h). I wore my hair similar to the way I want it on the wedding day and I put some time and effort into my makeup. I was allowed to take pics and I only tried on 5 or 6 gowns. All these suggestions were recommended to me and I would pass those same recommendations on , as well. I'll try and post a pic tomorrow. Hope everyone had a wonderful Monday!
