Photographers in Portland

Hi everyone!! So I'm looking for some recommendations for photographers in the Portland area. I've been stressing this out for a while but I figured someone would have a recommendation. Thank you for all the help ladies!!

I don't know what your budget is like, but my photographer, Tess Johnson, has been my absolute favorite vendor that I've hired so far. She's by far the best photographer I know. Her quality is on par with the premier photographers in Maine (Emilie, Michelle Turner, etc.) but she hasn't been shooting weddings as long as they have so she isn't as expensive as they are. There are pictures in my bio of a few of my engagement photos. Those aren't even the best ones! If you're interested I can also send you some pictures from a boudoir shoot I had with her recently. We are using Blush Imagery! They are amazing, they already did our e-pics and we were soo happy! They are great to work with also!

Claudia Murray in Scarborough is EXCELLANT!! She was one of my favorite vendors. She was extremely helpful, took absolutely beautiful pictures, and our album is priceless! It's so different from any I've seen and everyone we've showed it to has loved it. Check her out!!

Definately look into Clare Norton (www.snapshotsbyclare.com). I just booked her last night for my September 2010 wedding. She is very well priced also. I was at a wedding last year that she photographed and the pictures were great! She is also photographing my friends wedding in June 2010. There is another post about her on this board with many more rave reviews.

I totally agree that Tess has beautiful photos, but my fi and I went with Clare Norton. She is incredible. Super sweet, fantastic prices and her photos were exactly what we are looking for. Brownb congrats on booking her!! I was told she books fast and that we will not regrat her. A lot of the 2007 brides had her and loved her, my future cousin in law being one of the brides that wanted her but couldnt get her.

My FI and I booked Clare Norton for our June 2010 wedding, and though we haven't had any photos done yet, I'd recommend her as well! After meeting with a handful of photographers, we found her to be really nice and easygoing. She really put us at ease, and her personality and photography style seemed to jive well with us and our wedding. Her work is great and definitely affordable.I would also suggest Life Portraits by Angela. I met with her, and though her personality didn't really match with ours (she was VERY chatty and high energy, a little too much for our laid-back style), her work is really great and her prices are too. I also think that Tess does amazing photography! But, she was out of our price range for the wedding (she did my boudoir photos thouhg!) so we went with First Frame Studios, and I think they really did a great job! Gretchen was easy to work with for posed shots and unobtrusive during candid photos - and the price is incredibly reasonable!! http://www.firstframestudio.com/
