Vendor reviews

Hi all,    I just wanted to post vendor reviews from my wedding 8 days ago and let you all know that it was fantastic!!!  No nerves or cold feet and our honeymoon in Quebec City was so romantic.  Bull Feeney's (rehearsal dinner):  This was a great venue for a rehearsal dinner.  We had about 45 people there and it had plenty of space and the food was great.  The service was friendly and the bartenders were generous.  A-Atlantic Limo:  Chris, our driver, was very attentive.  It was raining and he did not let any of the girls get wet on our way to take pictures and to the ceremony.  They were on time and very professional.  A-Vanessa Patenaude of J. Kelley Salon:  Vanessa is a good friend of mine but that does not have any impact on her review.  She was on time, quick and so professional.  She did five hair and makeup by herself in five hours!  We all looked and felt beautiful.  AHarmon's and Barton's (personal flowers):  They were super professional, easy to work with and most of all understood what I wanted and executed it amazingly.  They were surprisingly affordable and always available to answer questions. A-Clare Norton (photography):  Clare is always so easy to be around.  She did our epics and she made us feel just as comfortable the day of.  She takes pictures that you wouldn't even think of wanting to have taken.  She is quick and effective which makes after the ceremony bearable.  ACoastal Cakes:  Vicki Pettinger pulled off an amazing cake.  I had hinted at something that I wanted and she was able to figure it out and make is look better than I had even dreamed.  She is a small business, fairly priced and super nice.   I can't say enough good things about her cakes, they not only look amazing but they taste just as great!!  A+Sideshow Music (DJ):  I have thought about this one a lot.  While everyone was dancing at the wedding and having a great time, I was not really satisfied.  The music stopped in the middle of my father/daughter dance and took about 30 seconds to come back on, honest mistake.  Then there was a problem with a guest asking the DJ to play music or telling him he was playing crappy music.  The DJ came up to me and threatened to leave if the guy didn't leave him alone.   The man who was harrassing him is a jerk and everyone who knows him knows this, however, I didn't think the DJ needed to threaten leaving the wedding.  All in all he did a good job but I could have done without that incident and I would recommend them because they did my sisters wedding in 08 and did a fantastic job.  CEastland Park Hotel:  I can't say what I feel about the job they did.  The service was prompt, the food was good, the event went off without a hitch.  They gave all my guests our out of town bags, they made sure everyone who needed a room had one and that people who needed to check in early could.  Kim was amazing, she has great ideas and is very organized.  The room looked beautiful and it was just what I wanted!!! A+IF you girls have any questions about anything just let me know!!!!Happy weddings!!!

Yay, so glad to hear it was wonderful! (Minus the DJ stuff). Clare's our photographer too; the teaser photo of your wedding she posted on her blog is gorgeous! I love your dress and your cage veil.FI and I had considered a honeymoon in Quebec City, since neither of us have been. Sounds like you would recommend it, yes?

So glad to hear that everything went so well for your big day ( apart from the DJ's crappy attitude!) Congrats and welcome to the Mrs. Club! :)

Thank you so much!   I would totally recommend going to Quebec City for your honeymoon!!  It's romantic and it feels like you are in Europe.  The locals are really nice and have the inside on the great restaurants and bars!!!

Hi!So glad to hear your wedding at the Eastland was a success. We are getting married at the Eastland in July.  Is there anything you would recommend doing at the Eastland?Had you had any other ideas for your rehearsal dinner?  We have 150 guests coming in from out of town and I am just trying to give them a real "maine" weekend;)

I would be very specific with the Eastland just to make sure you get what you want, actually i would do that with any vendor.  As for the rehearsal dinner, I know there are local places that you can have a lobster bake catered, not sure the names but that would be a really good Maine theme!!  Let me know if you have any questions!
