I am not sure how many of you this applies to, but luckily Casco Bay Ferries has decided to extend its pre-Labor Day car ferry service to Saturday, Sept. 10, given the large number of weddings on Peaks that day. So, if you are also having your wedding on Peaks that day (or have any friends who are), spread the word that the pre-Labor Day car ferry schedule will be in effect (so your vendors can get back until almost midnight, without needing to do the freight option!). Also, if you call Casco Bay, they will ask you approximately how many guests you are having, what ferry you anticipate them being on, etc., so that it can make sure it can accomodate everyone! They are also willing for an additional $25 to allow you to reserve a space for your vendors' vehicles on the way to Peaks (but not the way back -- first come first serve).
