Hey ladies!
I hope your week is going well.

So I have never had a facial and I was thinking that I want one before the wedding. I work in the south portland area and live in the Windham Area. Does anyone have any sugguestions on a great place to get a facial?

Can anyone give me any advice.. when to get one, do I need to worry about breaking out, different types of facials, best facials, etc?

I had regular facials prior to my wedding (1 every 3-4 weeks). I recommend that you get it at least a week before the wedding if you're prone to breakouts, as facials can bring impurities to the surface. I did my last one a week and a half before my wedding and it worked out perfectly. I'm in Boston, so I don't have any recommendations in Maine. 

I'd do research on what are the best salon/spas in your area, then ask the esthetician what he or she recommends for your face (re: which facial you should get). 

Good luck - it made a huge difference for my skin, so I think it's worth it.

I have been doing facial once a month in a past 10 years delpending on your skin type and how much she massage your face you may break out. So don't do it the first time right before your wedding! Like pp said you should do it once month. I personally believe if you don't do it for at least 3 months you should just save your $.

Getting regular facials was on my "to-do" list and just didn't happen.  Boo!  With 18 days to go, it's too late to start now for me.  I do love them though, so if you're looking to do it as a relaxation type thing I'd go for it, just a week or so before like suggested.
