Henry's Bridal in Bangor

Did anyone go shopping there?  We'll be going bridesmaids dress shopping there in a few weeks.  We've been to a few other places but I'm just curious what Henry's was like.  They said no appointment was necessary, did you make one anyway?

Any thoughts/suggestions would be awesome!

I looked at Henry's on my lunch break one day, and I liked their dresses (bride, I didn't have bridesmaids).  I don't think it will be a problem to not have an appointment.  I did use the seamstress that works at Henry's for my alterations, and she did a good job, although she charges extra if you didn't buy there (and you need an appt for alterations).  Have fun!

I purchased my wedding dress from Henry's and the customer service is terrific but the charges for the alterations were extremely high. Good luck!

we orded 6 bridesmaids dresses here, I had already picked out the dress but they didn't have it in the store. They helped pick out similar styles for us to try on and then ordered the dress for us. We did not make an appointment, (like you said they said it wasn't necessary) overall we had a good experience with them!

Though I have lived in Boston for the past 10 years, I am originally from central Maine and wanted to find a place to share the dress shopping experience with my mom and aunt back home.  I had such a wonderful experience at Henry's from beginning to end!  I was super nervous going in - I am paying for my own dress and the concept of stripping down and trying on heavy expensive dresses for a few hours is my own personal version of hell.  Madilyn was a true pro!  She knew exactly what I was looking for based on a few "ehhh" dresses and my failed attempts at giving descriptions and she managed to add the right touches and veils for each look my family and I liked until we reached "the one."  She actually picked the dress and let me try it on twice with no pressure so I could take my time with my own decision.  I went in to the place with no intentions of buying a dress and came out with a stunning dress that I can't wait to wear for my special day.  Thank you to Madilyn and everyone at Henry's!
