Ocean Front, Farm/Tent Wedding Locations in Midcoast Maine, near Rockland

Hi,

I am looking for a remote location near the ocean to do a tent wedding.  The place I had in mind was a farm in Martinsville, ME and unfortunately it fell through.  I grew up in Maine so I'm familiar with the area but all of the places we can think of are big, built-up places like the Samoset.  Anyone know of private house or land rentals near the ocean?  Looking around the Rockland area.

Hi! I am somewhat familiar with the area. There is The Snow Bowl in Camden, it is set on a pond but they do have the essentials to do weddings. I went to a wedding there last summer and it was beautiful. There is also Crescent beach, Laite beach and Walker park. Have not been to these places in a while, since I was younger, but I do remember large grassy areas. Hope this helps and good luck!

If you are willing to go further north, have you looked at Ducktrap Retreat in Lincolnville and Mount N Sea in Northport (http://www.maineweeklyrental.com/)?  Both have a fairly remote feel, and I think they both have their own tents, too.
