Portland Area Rehearsal Dinner Ideas?

I am trying to find a spot that will work with 20 adults (and 2 kids) and won't cost us more than about $20-25 per person.  The other issue is that we were hoping to find somewhere that parking wont be a huge issue.  We have tried a few places, but everyone wants to charge a room fee that costs half of our budget!  I also don't necessarily want a private room, even just a nook in the back corner so that we can all relax and be goofy without being in the center of a restaurant!

thanks!

Are you looking for something nicer/fancier or laid back?

The SeaDog in South Portland can accommodate groups that big.  Margaritas on St. John St. can as well and if you're just ordering off their menu, would be a lot less than $20 pp.  Both have parking.

I haven't been to DeMillo's in several years, but last I heard it was a fun place for a RD.

i second seadog and margaritas. they're both yummy, way cheaper than $20 a person, and they have private areas that they won't charge you to use.

My cousin had her rehearsal dinner at DiMillo's and it was lovely. I'm not sure what the cost was pp, but the options for dinner were scallops, prime rib and fettuccini alfredo, so I'm guessing that was probably in the $25-30 range.

Also a nice feature with DiMillo's is you have the option of outdoor space, their private room opened onto a deck, which at sunset, was gorgeous!

We're having our rehearsal dinner at Kon Asian Bistro. So far I haven't been able to say anything bad about them! They have been good on our budget and still given us options for the menu.
