invitation wording

Okay so I've read all the "how your suppose to do things" online but I'm not having an inner envelope.. soo how should I address the label for children under age 18?

Mrs. Jane Doe (parent) & Mr. John Doe (son)
555 Smitth Street
Portland, ME 04103

should it be like this (obviously without the parent/son guidelines)?

I could be wrong, but I think you put the parents' name(s) on the first line, and any children on the second line.

The Ask Carly Q&A section on here says to do this:

    Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sullivan
    [or Robert and Sandra Sullivan]
    Brandon, Jennifer, and Kyle
    12345 First Street
    Anywhere, USA 98765

I think if I were addressing it where there was only one child, I would use first and last name, but I probably wouldn't put Mr. or Miss.

    I would probably do:
    Mrs. Jane Doe
    John Doe

I think that when you put "and," as in "Ms. Jane Doe and Mr. John Smith," that signals that the parties are married.
