I'm posting this here as I believe that it is different in different regions.
How are you all handling alcohol? We had considered doing beer and wine for the cocktail hour and cash bar after. Our vendors, for the rehearsal dinner and the reception, have both said that cash bars are common (Wells) but we wanted to provide some alcohol. They've also both suggested we consider drink tickets to prevent people from drinking very quickly at the beginning but I'm just not sure.
My brother spent $3,000 on alcohol alone at his wedding and we just don't have the cash for that. What do you all think?
