So I am working on getting my wedding recap and vendor reviews ready to post, but I wanted to post something about Finest Kind Caterers in North Yarmouth, because I've mentioned them before as being great to work with, but we're running into some problems and I can't recommend using them anymore.  Stuff like being taxed on the service charge, not getting all the food we had in the contract--if you are using them or thinking about it and want more details, PM me.  We are working to resolve things now, and hopefully we will get some money back, so I will post an update if we have one.

    Oh no!  I'm so sorry.  I'm sure it's been stressful having to deal with this!  I hope you get some sort of comopensation back.

    That sucks, I hope things work out - but makes me feel better for not choosing them.  She was incredibly hard to get ahold of to get a quote, kept putting it off, would be like, sorry will do it next week, and then the following and the following, and then when I got it it seemed like a lot of add-in fees and stuff so I went elsewhere.

    Ok, so we heard back from her, and she was apparently in a car accident (amshaw--might be why she was hard to get ahold of, if it was recently).  She sent us a new invoice where she reduced the per person price (it was supposed to be $11.50pp, she charged $12.50pp, changed it to $10pp, since we didn't get some of the stuff), and we have to figure out if we want to pursue some errors in calculation or leave it at this point. 

    And slwager, working on the picts.  I need to check with DH (!) about if he's ok with me posting picts of us on TK, but if no picts go here, we can connect on FB.

    i heard good things about them from a couple other brides, but when i tried contacting her it took her 12 days to get a quote together for me, and then she didn't include the food selections i had asked for. i also felt like her base price tripled with all the service charges she added on. the place i'm with now is waaaaay cheaper, the contact person is super nice and always answers, or calls right back, and the food is delicious!
