Hair & Make-up?

Hi ladys!

We're getting married in late August! My only concern so far is I cant seem to find someone to do hair and make up for me on the wedding day! I cant even find anyone who will do a trial. It seems that anytime I try to set up an appointment with someone who seems promising I NEVER hear back from them.

I just dont understand why! Im trying to keep it on the cheaper side! I dont really want to spend tons on it. Our ceremony is very small, followed by a very large reception!

    I have hired On the go hair designs. She is based in Saco but part of why I wanted her was that she travels to where you are. Not sure at what distance she will travel to. You can find her on facebook, and if you cant find her i will go look the up the contact info. Hair will be 30-40 and she is also a mary kay consultant and will do makeup for i think 20 dollars (not sure i am having a different makeup artist do mine). I have seen her work for 2 weddings (the bride and bridesmaids) and prom updos. She is fantastic!!!

    I have a friend who is doing my make-up, but she has done other weddings before.  I'm not sure what she charges, but since she's just starting out I don't imagine she's super-expensive.  She is really nice, and I'm really excited she's doing my wedding!

    do you mind if I contact her as well? Im looking for someone to do my hair and makeup, MOB, MOG and 7 bridesmaids in Portland.  Im having a tough time finding someone that I like that travels as well .

    Sorry I'm seeing this so late, but I can recommend two excellent vendors who travel. From This Day Forward does gorgeous, natural makeup, and Bonnie's A Cut Above does a beautiful job with wedding hair.  Good luck!

    I would also recommend From This Day Forward for makeup - she'll be doing my makeup (as well as my bridemaids) in two weeks, and she'll be coming to our house so we don't have to travel. I did a test run with her a couple weeks ago and was very happy with how I looked.
