Is anyone renting charger plates?

Hi all, I'm trying to figure out if it's cheaper to buy charger plates from Macy's (I found them for $2.15 per plate) or rent them. I haven't contacted any vendors yet, but was wondering if anyone else had already done this and found it was less than $2 per plate to rent them. I'm just looking for basic silver ones, nothing too fancy. Wedding is in Kennebunk. Thanks!

I have noo idea as I'm not doing this, but.... would it be worth it to buy them for a little more than renting and then selling them on recycledbride.com, for 1/2 the cost of when you bought them or something like that??? just a thought :-)

That's kind of what I'm thinking. I looked it up on WeddingBee and anytime someone puts them up, they get several responses right away. It probably is more worth it to buy than rent.

Lots of people sell silver chargers on TK classified board on the left and also recycledbride! I've seen them for as low at .50 because people want to get them out of their houses!
