Venue dilemma vent

Fi and I are starting to think about our centerpieces and general table look. Our colors are orange, gray and white with a modern vibe (comfy couches, uplighting, etc). Yesterday I emailed my venue to double check on what centerpieces and color table linens they have (since he said its all inclusive, we can change whatever ...and this is what sold us from the beginning) I'm not sure where to go from here. Their centers are only a 3 "mini candle" display and table linens are only ivory. I had him price out a center from a picture I sent and lets just say it's out of budget. We then decided about diy'ing our own but now I'm..I guess I'm annoyed that what's included doesn't fit what we we're trying to accomplish..or perhaps I wasn't listening and got too googly eyed at the initial visit.. Anyway, do I scrap our color concept and change everything to go with the ivory to save money? Or do we rent out white linens and hope it doesn't kill the budget? Thoughts?

  • I think you'll be fine with the ivory.  I know a lot of times people tend to freak out about shirt color vs. dress color but regardless the WP always looks fabulous regardless, I'd imagine the same would be for your tables :)  people are going to be eating on them, not critiquing the color of your neutral linens!

  • I agree with PP. I know it was not your first vision, but the lastw edding I attended, the linens were all white, but everything else was peach and green. I think you will be able to do a lot with what you have and best of all, not kill the budget! I think if you start to google/knot more wedding with neutral linens, you will feel better.
