Proposal Stories?!

Okay, so maybe I'm late in coming here but has everyone already shared their proposal story? I would love to hear them! Of course I will share mine too. I need something to keep me occupied on this rainy Wednesday in the office.

Both are wonderful stories! Thank you both for sharing with me. Here's mine...

My family has a longstanding tradition of spending Thanksgiving weekend at Disneyland. It's one of my most favorite places ever and also where FI took me on our first weekend getaway shortly after we became a couple. I told FI a few times that it would be so cool if he proposed at Disneyland... but he was very dismissive and shook off my little hints as being "too cheesy". He also said he already had the proposal planned out, so I dropped the idea.

We sat down to Thanksgiving Dinner at the Storyteller's Cafe in the Grand Californian. My stepfather said grace and then FI announced he would like to say a few words too. He started talking about how thankful he was to have become a part of my family and I was like, "awww... that's so nice of you honey" and then he abruptly stopped speaking, reached into his pocket, and got down on one knee beside my chair. My sisters immediately started screaming! When I realized that he was proposing I instantly started to cry! I don't think I was even looking at him when he asked "will you marry me?" 

Obviously I said yes (although I almost forgot to in the heat of the moment) and we hugged and kissed. Everyone in the restaurant started clapping as my stepfather shouted "she said yes!" Random strangers even started taking pictures. It was such a great moment! Hard to describe the feelings in words.

<div>Thank you! I love yours as well. I want to hear some more! I can't remember what board I was on, but one bride said her FI proposed to her at their family Christmas party. Everyone was singing "The 12 Days of Christmas" and when the fifth day came up, they all sang "ooonnne diamond riiiiiiiinnngg!!!" and her FI ran up to where she was sitting, kneeled down, and opened the ring box! She had also posted a video. It was great! </div>
