Hello Everyone! Im new to this website and I am already loving it! My wedding is July 26, 2013 and I couldn't be more excited that its getting closer to being a year away! How is everyones planning going? We had a venue but due to budget reducing we had to cancel it and now we are starting over and looking for a new venue. Anyone have any suggestions? We are trying to stay around 4,000-5,000 for the total cost of our wedding. We are in Orange County!

if in orange county i say jump on the locals board look for orange county and ask the ladies... did you lose you deposit on 1st venue.

Your local board, which you'll find a link to on the left will be a good resource for any questions related to your area.

If you venture out into the international boards (as in, all of the rest of them) my best advice would be a) use the search function first and b) lurk a bit before posting, especially something not directly on-topic.

OP welcome! It's nice to see another SoCal bride here. I'm having my ceremony at a city park and my reception at a nearby conference center. Total rental cost for both is around $1,400... super cheap for SoCal! I suggest talking to the ladies on your local board and maybe checking out city or county-owned sites. 

southerncutie, where in Vegas are you getting married? I freakin' LOVE Vegas! FI and I considered getting married there but ultimately decided that we'd rather just have our respective bachelor(ette) parties there... it's unlikely that our families could handle that much time in Sin City. Hehe.

ummm we are still deciding lol ive got 2 binders of venues and stuff tho lol but we may be pushing it back a lil not sure so we havent put down deposit on stuff... i think our reception will be at sugarfactory tho..
