hi! new july 6 2012 bride from deep south texas. i was going to be a may bride... but then postponed it to november... and now I'm a July bride. I dont think we'll be changing the date anymore. I'm so excited! i have less than a year to plan. any advice on where i should start?
i have colors picked out black, white, and hot pink but i dont know where to go from there.  anything would be helpful!

We're all at different stages of planning, some girls are just starting to think about things, some have most of their vendors booked already! The Knot's checklist can be really helpful in trying ti figure out a timeline, and which vendors it's important to book soon.  Figruing out your budget, and how many people you want to invite are key first steps, followed by finding a venue for everything (those can book up fast!)

Budget & guest list are probably the big-two things you need to figure out before anything else at this point   Even if you don't have a list of names right away, you need at least a rough # of guests in mind so you can make sure that everything later fits in with those parameters.

Welcome! I agree with PPs, budget and an estimate on guestlist is where I started. So far all I've done is book the venue. I've done a lot of leg work for other things, but I haven't booked anything else. Don't fret about having less than a year to plan, I really don't think you need a year.
