Well... This is happening

Yesterday I sent out Save the Dates, and over the weekend FI and I bought out wedding bands! Everything finally feels totally real, and I'm freaking out a little bit.  It's not that I don't want to get married, I'm just nervous about how fast this year is going!

Has anyone else had the "Slow down year!" moment?

Congrats! I bet it was exciting for you both! Im looking forward to getting our bands, unfortunately they're not in budget at the moment. And I totally agree with you on the year going by too quick! It feels like once the holidays pass and new years comes and goes itll be panic time.

I haven't had that moment yet, I'm sure it'll come after the new year though! Time is definitely going by quickly!

I felt it once we sent out our STD's too! Whenever anyone mentions how close the holiday's are I totally freak!

I'm having that moment this week! It's like things are just hitting me..we're about to order STD's, book our honeymoon, and get the Photobooth. Those aren't huge things, but WOW it's been one of those weeks!

Amen sister! I sometimes read other month boards and the common theme is usually "wow this came so fast". Secretly, I can't wait to say that!

Yeah, when I think about my year in semester (I work at a college), It kind of seems unreal that I'm only here for one more semester. I hate thinking about Jan as well, as I feel that's when it will feel real to our family...and my wallet

I feel like I *should* be having that moment...I'm sure once I see the deposits deducted from my account I will! Also, YES, once the holidays are here it's going to be nothing but crazy!

Yea, people keep telling me its coming fast but it hasnt hit me yet. Im sure it will once the holidays are over.

I agree, it's flying by waaay too quickly!! I'm starting to go into panic mode about how little we actually have done.  We've sent STD's, booked our venue and bought my dress but that is it!! We've met with a few caterer and florists but no decisions have been made yet since I'm always looking for the best deal!

Wait until the day of;) I'm from the July 2012 board which is pretty much dead now:( soak it all in and enjoy every single moment of the planning process. I miss the process so bad and wish I could relive our wedding day over and over lol! I was a giant stressball by the end of all the planning as well as very nervous up until the ceremony was over then I relaxed (I was sure I was going to trip going down the aisle lol). If I could do it all over.....I would be stress free during the planning and enjoy it more, not just being proud of how many things I had checked off my list, even though it can certainly be overwhelming at times. So trust me, take it ALL in and don't rush through it. You WILL miss all of this once its all said and done;) my husband and I have moved on to baby making time so it's the next phase for me something very exciting to look forward to!!
