Honeymoon

Tonight I was talking to my better half about the honeymoon. I really wanted to do Disney or a beach, but he told me that he wants to do a road trip to see different MLB stadium(this has always been a dream of his). What do you guys think about doing a road trip for the honeymoon? I feel like it is going to be go go go the entire time without any relaxing or down time. What do you ladies think??

Re: Honeymoon

  • ummm yea sounds like a lot of driving.. but im not into baseball so i wouldnt wanna go but depends on what you like... just seems like go go go and no relaxation.  but its my opinion
  • I would totally love to do this but we are big baseball fans. I love the idea of seeing different parks and it is unique! Id go for it!

  • Not my cup of tea but I can see how some people would enjoy it.  I would say pick an area of the country that has quite a few in it so you can do less driving and more seeing.  I would try to pick one non-baseball attraction or activity in each city you visit as to break it up a bit more.

  • Id have to be a baseball fan to do this. I guess if my FI brought this up I'd comprise and go somewhere neat in that city before or after the stadium. Side note, one of my best friends is doing this with her hubby and they love it. They've been to a few already and we're actually surprising her next week at a Phillies game because her Yankees are playing. Can't wait ro see her!

  • If the stadium thing isn't your thing, it shouldn't be for your honeymoon.  He should do a roadtrip with a guy friend who will enjoy it with him.  Definitely go with something you'll both like to do.

Btw.. Disney has my vote but that's because I'm kinda biased :)

  • I love baseball just as much as him! He proposed in the O's dugout!! I think that we are just going to take more than a week to do it that way we can relax and enjoy it. Our total trip is only 36 hours of driving and if we do it in 10 days we would have more time and see other things too (and eat some yummy food, we are going to look at triple D's website to plan out some great places to eat)

flutterbride2b- that is the website that we were using! It makes it very easy to figure out!

garbasaurus- I would love to do disney but that just isn't his thing. We said that when we have kids we will go there <3

  • I'm kind of split. Fi and I would love it, being that we both enjoy baseball - but long hours in a car can be taxing on anyone. I would expect some crankyness to occur.

But it would be a lot of fun. Go for it!

  • We have considered a road trip for our honeymoond, and we haven't totally ixneyed it yet either. It all depends on what you want. FI and I are go go go people anyway, and whether we do a roadtrip or not, our honeymoond likely will be go go go too.

    Life is good today.
  • Is there anyway you can't do both? Roadtrip to see the stadiums and end up somewhere with a beach ? I guess it depends on how long you intended your honeymoon to last. That would have my vote though definitely! In fact...let me go find the FI lol. :3
Our summer star-lit night is well on its way :3

  • I want to go on a cruise ,

I think you could do it half half, half driving half relaxing that way you both get what you want in the end :)
