I was having a lil chat with my son last night about his 6th birthday party plans. He's having a Super Mario Bros themed party and I have been seriously slacking on this year's prep (his bday is July 22 but I'm usually done my "critical path" 6 mos ahead!). So I was discussing some of the details; the games, the food, the decor... He starts adding in his suggestions for the obstacle course and throws out some pretty good ideas for decor and such. I was rather impressed. Then he asks me what I'm planning for the loot bags; he's SO my son hahahaI'm proud of my event planner prodigé

Haha how cute. It's really amazing when you see kids do stuff that the adults around them do. The farmer's daughter, at the whopping age of 7, uses all the body language and gestures that we do to move cows. The only problem is that she is a bit too small to be effective but it's still really funny when she puts her hands up and says "C'mon heifer, get in there right!"

Um, a Super Mario Bros themed party would be the best party ever!  Maybe I'll tell FI that we're doing that for his 30th.  Cute story, though.
