So, I just need to vent.
My parents have been asking for awhile for FI and I to arrange a meeting with all of the parents since no one has met yet. Cool, great. FI's parents are divorced and for them it would be more comfortable to do meetings separately which I understand. FI and I were planning on doing a little brunch thing at our house for his mom and my parents and then we could go out later in the day for dinner or apps with his dad and step mom. This way we could get it all done in one day. I decided to run by this idea with my mom today.
Well, apparently FI's parents are now horrible people and inconveniencing everyone. My mother feels disrespected because she thinks this is an excuse for them not to meet and she just couldn't bear to sit in a room with them at separate times because THAT would be awkward. Yeah ok, more awkward then a divorced mom seeing her ex with his wife...
This all ended in me calling her an ass after she said "Your inlaws, your problem." WTF? Since when does the world revolve around her and how can she feel disrespected from that? My momma is cray cray. I ended up spending an hour crying/screaming out of frustration (thanks to FI for dealing with it well, lol). Now I'm stuffing my face with all sorts of bad food.
