Early Gifts and Thank You Cards

Hi ladies,

We have been recieving early wedding gifts, and I have been sending thank you cards right away to be polite (I'm scared of the ladies on the etiquette board). However, I realized that those people won't get the small wedding photo that people seem to send with their thank you cards after the wedding.

Are you guys planning to send these photos with your thank yous? And what are you doing for thank yous you've sent early?

I wasn't really planning on sending photos because this wedding has made us broke enough haha.  Our pictures will all be online for guests to access (our photographer has a gallery and we'll also be doing a photoshare site so guests can share the pictures they take).  If the photo is important to you though, I'd maybe just track who got one and who didn't and if you send holiday/Christmas cards this year, include the picture in the ones who didn't.

We got a super great deal on a groupon for Vistaprint, so we're actually custom printing a wedding picture on the front of our thank you cards. So I've been holding off on thank you notes for early gift givers. Actually, unless it's a card, FI is refusing to even let us open wedding gifts until after the wedding. He says it's bad luck

We had thank you cards made that match our invites. We are telling people that we will be sending out a picture or two after the wedding when we get them back. We have opened our wedding gifts but they sit under our bar still in the packaging not being used. But come Sunday, that crap finally gets put away! lol

We aren't doing the photo thing. We'll probably do a wedding photo in the Xmas cards, tho.

And yeah, we've been opening (but strictly not using! Fi wanted to use a swell stainless espresso cup today and I said, "In 4 days."). Nice to be caught up pre-wedding on all that, and all those folks know we got what they shipped.
