Accountability - Tuesday

Alright, so my brother headed home last night with the crew. They left at midnight after we went to the big Windsor/Detroit fireworks display. That means that starting today life is going back to normal, which means back to my workout routine! That being said with them leaving at midnight, and there were some cleaning related things that had to be dealt with immediately, we didn't get to bed until far too late last night to drag my butt out of bed at 6am so my morning run will be starting tomorrow lol

How is it going for everyone else? Anyone starting a new routine this close to the wedding to make sure you get the results you want?

  • I've been weight lifting for the past 7ish weeks though I've been a bit inconsistent with doing it every day. I'm really trying to stick with it, it's just difficult with traveling for work every week. I have 5 weeks left and I do need to step it up on the cardio. 

    I've been using my fitness pal and that's been an eye-opening experience! I'm way more aware of what I'm eating so hopefully that helps since my first dress fitting is on Saturday.

  • I just finished a bootcamp class last week.  I had done 10 sessions and it was great!  Today, I'm starting the insanity workouts.  I have about 10 more pounds I would like to lose before the wedding.  I'm already down about 18 pounds since January.  Woohoo!  I've also been using MyFitnessPal for the past month or so and have found it very helpful.

  • I have my dress fitting for alterations next Friday.  I started doing P90X (the lean version) yesterday.  I did P90X about a year and a half ago for 2 months and stopped.  Better late than never I guess!  I'd love to lose inches from my thighs, I don't think it will happen in a week.  Looking back, I wish I had scheduled my alterations a bit later but the seamstress is in really high demand so you kinda have to get in when you can.

  • Last night I wasn't planning on doing anything since I woke up early for a Jillian Michaels workout.  FI texted me in the afternoon though and said he was going to train my brother and cousin (both collegiate athletes) and did I want to come.  I figured why the heck not.  Of course I could not do all the running they could (FI had us running up and down stairs of a 6 story building...all the way to the top....multiple times) but kept up on the stregth part.  It was a bonus workout regardless since I was planning on watching TV last night haha.  This morning I did a yoga dvd in lieu of JM because my calves are KILLING me from last night.  Going to stretch and do the back work FI says I need tonight and get up for Jillian tomorrow morning.  FI's gym job really has us both pumped up to get in shape.  Aren't doing any new routines...just being consistent!
