September 2012 Weddings

Sept 1st - 3 weeks!!!!

We've got 3 weeks until Sept 1, ladies!!!

I'm busy today doing some wedding stuff as FI's sisters are coming into town next weekend for a visit.  We're in good shape, and should get everything done easily over this weekend.  We went to do the fitting for my Mom's MOB dress, and it looks stunning - I'm so glad, as she was worried!  We finished printing the menus, the activity books for kids, & the programs - now just assembly, and making/printing the escort cards.  Eeeeep!  So close!

How're you ladies feeling?  What do you still have to do?

Re: Sept 1st - 3 weeks!!!!

  • Wow...I can't believe you only have 3 weeks left!!! That's so crazy.  You seem to have everything under control which is great.  I still have 7 weeks left and am receiving RSVPs until Sept 1st so I still have seating charts, menus, church programs and 2 dress fittings to do.  I can't wait to see your pics of the Branford House :-)
  • I have 4 weeks to go.  I am feeling really good about everything.  All we have left to do is go over our song list with the DJ which will be this evening and make our final payment on our venue (which includes our flowers, catering, DJ, ministor, and photobooth), make our final cake payment, order all the beer, wine and champaign.

We have to pick up our marriage licence but can't do that until I am back in the states on Sept 2nd.

I also have to attend my Bachelorette party and wedding shower which will also be when I get back to the states.

EEECK!! I am soo excited it is getting so close. :-)

  • We're getting married Sept 1, also, and we're so excited! We had our final meeting with our reception site (a minor league ballpark) and had our day-of-coordinator there for the first time. She loved the space too -- I know in all our conversations she never really was able to get an image of the space, since she hadn't been to a game in a long time. But she's excited about it too. FI and I will be handling some final details -- finalizing the processional music, mowing the lawn, cleaning the house, shopping for food -- over the next couple weeks, but then family will start to arrive in town and it'll be fun, fun fun! I keep doing my happy dance, which is so much better than when the process first got started and I was nothing but stressed out!
