Getting ready attire

Hey ladies, Thinking about different choices of attire for us girls to wear for the morning of and getting ready. Just wondering what others are doing?

Re: Getting ready attire

  • Oversized men's dress shirts :)
I know Britt is doing this (she inspired me!) and adding iron-on rhinestone "names" on the backs ("Bride", "MOH", etc...).
I got my transfers this week so I'll get the shirts this weekend and get that done. They will be comfy and easy on/off ;)

  • I'm not having anything special.  Part of their gift that they will get the night before is a beautiful satin robe.  It is meant for their own use and isn't wedding related at all (not embroidered, doesn't say bridemaid, isnt in my colors) but if they choose to wear it that is their decision.  I will probably recommend to them to bring a button up or zip up top to wear as well.
  • I wont be doing anything either.  I'm sure we will all just wear zip ups or button ups that we have already in our wardrobe.  I'm weird though, I like to be as discreet as possible and not draw attention to myself especially at the salon, etc. :)  I'll already be on attention overload by the end of the ceremony!
  • Ibarr008 - hahaha ya I know what you mean! But we have an entire Inn booked for the whole weekend for just the wedding party and will be having someone come in to do hair and make up. Because of this I thought it would be fun to do something special :) We don't have to leave at all, will be bringing in snack foods/lunch for us as well as drinks. Mamma - I have seen pics of the oversized men's dress shirts and it looks like a fun idea! Where did you end up getting yours?

  • We're doing white men's dress shirts, and I'll be monogramming the pocket for each girl. I figure each of us will probably end up pairing it with yoga pants or something else that's comfortable.
  • I want to do monogram on the pocket too, where do you get Iron on Letters?

  • We are just wearing whatever we want.  I'm just going to ask them to wear something that buttons in the front so no one pulls something over their heads.

    From <strong><a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/RhinestoneWishes" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><strong>**THIS**</strong> </a></strong>Etsy seller ;)

I'm doing long sleeve I think... and I'm going to do an iron on transfer on the cuffs with their name and date.

I love the white button down shirt idea...thought about doing it myself too. BMcleod team love how yours came out. Love the Rhinestone on back instead of monogram on pocket idea.

Trins, another cute Idea that I was thinking about doing is getting a spa towel wrap with the girls monogram embroidered on them. You can check them out on etsy at shopmemento or search bridesmaids gifts. It is something they can use all the time too!
