Accountability - Monday

Good morning ladies! How was your weekend? I went to my dress fitting which went well, both the ceremony and reception dresses had to be taken in (Yay!). Then my sister and I decided to take them in so that they were really tight (still could put them on, but they were def tight) to encourage me to lose some more :) That way they aren't too far gone they can't be let out, but there's the extra push!

Today after work FI and I are hitting the gym for our prospective C25K days and then off to a business meeting. After the meeting I'm coming home and doing an arms workout at home. I want to start hitting my workouts when I have time harder like that moving foward instead of just filling one time slot/day.

Today's picture is giving us a push, and I have a dare to go with it ;)
I dare each of you to set 1 measurable goal with a date...

I'll start: Lose 1" off my waist by May 1st (I only have 2 more to lose so its not like they are going too fast as I'm toning up).

  • Great motivation brit! And it really helps that FI is on board and supportive; that makes all the difference!

    We are having amazing March weather - it's still winter and we're in shorts! We got a tail gator bike attachment so we ride with my son's bike attached. I'm sure this will lead to a lot of evening bikerides this summer and some rides along our beautiful canal.
    It's spin class day today - too bad it wasn't taking place outside!

  • I ran both days this weekend even though my foot is still achey but it stops hurting when I run :)  I'm hoping to run again tonight.  FI want me to sign up for the 10K on April Fools.  I just started back into running after being on a hiatus for two weeks so I'm skeptical.  Granted, last time I went on a hiatus I jumped back in with a nice 11 miler.... so in all reality I should be fine.  I'm just WAY too hard on myself.

    I'd have to say my goal is to run the 10K and I'm still flirting with the idea of running the half marathon at the end of May along with my 7 mile road race in August.  For now, the 10K on April 1st is a good goal.  Also, I am doing a 30 day ab challenge I found on Pinterest.  I don't want to do it everyday, but I will do it every other.  On my "off" days I will do my "5 min abs" routine.
  • Sounds like a great goal! Keep us updated on how the working up to the 10K goes for you :)
  • I've never posted on this board but today is the day I start working out again. My BM works out and I told FI (as much as I LOVE my BM) "if ____  can work out, I have no excuse" I cut the lawn today (wet grass and hills) and I'm totally couting it as a work out, I was dying lol. FI and I are going to order my new Trek bike tomorrow as an early b-day gift (he mountain bike rides and I think he fell in-love all over again when I told him I want a bike) and he'll want to go on a walk. It's super nice here too! I have been wearing shorts, tanks, and flip-flops all weekend, and I couldn't be happier! Haha.

    Oooo a goal!  Good idea!
    Lose 10lbs by May 1st.

    Meeting my cousin at the track for a workout this evening.
    Grilling veggies for dinner and trying quinoa.  Anyone ever had it? Is it good?  Is it really that good for you?
  • Anyone that has Pinterest who doesn't follow me, I should add that all our Inspiration Pictures are saved on my Fitness Inspiration board :)
  • I skipped a work out yesterday, so I'll be taking the dog on a walk with FI today then hitting up the gym again tonight.

    My goal is to drop half my Christmas weight by May 1st.  I put on 12 lbs, so I want to drop 6 by then.

    I did a mini workout in the hotel room on Saturday and JM workout yesterday.  Have errand to run after work and want to get ahead on my school work since I'm visiting FI again this weekend so not sure how much I'll do tonight but I'll at least do my pushups for 100 pushup challenge.  I ate really bad with FI over the weekend so going to be good all this week since FI and I tend to splurge together on the weekends. 

    EDIT:  I think a measurable goal is a great idea.  I am having trouble coming up with one right now though because I don't want to lose pounds or inches....just maintain and firm up.  FI refuses to do my body fat composition because he thinks I'll become obsessive about it so going to try to think up a stregth type goal to work on.
  • Worked out over the weekend with FI. But today, no walking at the office track due to acid reflux acting up. But did manage to walk one of the series of flights of stairs in my office during lunch. Tomorrow I am going to do the stairs again and the in-house walking trail.
    Anniversary Vacation
  • I have a goal of running 300 miles in 2012, so I'm aiming for 25 miles this month. I've run 14.3 miles in March so far, so I'm just about on track.

    I ran yesterday (3-miler) and today I did my strength training routine and spent some time clearing my garden for spring planting. :)
