Hardest part...

I haven't been very active on this board :-( Buttt.... I need a to vent! hah! Gathering addresses has been THE HARDEST part of this whole wedding process! We are sending out Save the Dates this weekend and have less than half of them! Ugh! My fault for procrasinating... I just had no idea it would be this difficult... for me atleast!

I think a lot of us are struggling with this so you are not alone! I hope you can get what you asap so you can send out your STDs!

Getting addresses was like pulling teeth from FI's family. We got all of the addresses done last month after I finally just broke down and asked one of his cousins myself instead of waiting for his mom to get them to me. Don't feel bad, at some point it will be done! lol

You're not alone, I procrastinated with addresses as well (partly because my mom & grandma told me I didn't have to worry about it---I'm thinking they were wrong). I had quite a time trying to get address lists from mom, grandma, & fiance (he lives out of town for now) with no luck so I gave up & decided to just give them each their own portion of STDs & invites for them to deal with (hopefully, I won't regret that). I, on the other hand, have been busy texting, Facebooking, & physically gatherin addresses. I definitely had no idea how difficult this would be either smh.

Thank you! I'm trying to take things as they come with as little stress as possible, I know things could be so much worse so I can't complain!

Hope the last holdouts come through soon! I'm realizing as I see people posting about this that we were *super* lucky that fi's brother got married last fall and he was kind enough to just send us their family spreadsheet. My side wasn't hard, thankfully, and our friends were all pretty easy to manage (esp. since I send out Xmas cards every year and had just gotten address updates in December!).

You are not alone! I am in the same situation. My friends and family have been great about addresses. FI family and friends not so much. I posted just on this situation and it's been an on going battle since January. Wish you the best of luck you will get it done!

</div><div>I've been lucky too because we really are the last ones to get married so everyone already did all the leg work lol. I had ppl mailing me address lists before I even asked. I am also someone who sends xmas cards yearly so I have a big list already. I send my STD in December with the xmas card, so I've addresses for a long time.</div>

I did email STDs and only to those getting on a plane (mainly my side) so I'm dreading collecting addresses for the invites.  Fi's friends will probably be the hardest to track down (the ones I don't know and it would be creepy for me to FB...FI has no FB!).  FMIL provided most of the addresses for their side but not all (some she's just not getting that I don't want to send to someone's daughter instead of directly to them and that I actually need their first names!).  I would like to start now, but I know for my friends who are mainly in school it's impossible to count on that they will be in the same place this summer as right now.  I'm getting nervous about it though!

Wooo! Yall make me feel WAY better! I seriously thought I was all alone and the only one struggling! We have been engaged for almost 2 years so I'm surprised my mom and FMIL don't have all the addresses for their sides yet! My mom is pretty organized... All she needs to do is sit down and get write them out for me!

I got most of mine and FI friends addresses (Thank the lord for Facebook!)... but I don't have anyone that he works with! Ugh! He's working on it though! So hopefully this weekend we will be set... but we will see! and if not... I'll send out what we have and go from there!
