After a good chat with my grandmother this weekend, I know I'll still be in the good books after the wedding LOL
I was a bit worried that I'd get flack for limiting the invitations (fairly limited but still limited) but after hearing about my cousin's plans for her wedding 2 weeks before mine, I'm not so worried anymore :PThey are having a BYOB pig roast at their house after the ceremony which is ok, but my cousin is expecting her parents to prepare all the food and roast the pig. They live on a cliff pretty much, so I'm not sure how ppl will sit to eat. They have no plans to provide tables or chairs; everyone brings their own seat and eats on their lap. Afterwards, everyone is to head back into town to the mess hall for their reception; scary thought after drinking for hours....So this means, we'll be dressed up, eating pig on our laps on a steep hill while drinking, and then driving to the reception. Eeek. My grandmother raised a concern (understandable!) and was told "If you don't like it, don't come." Whoa. I realize it's her wedding and their day but they aren't being very considerate to the guests at this point.
I may not be inviting the 4th generation of cousins, but I don't think it's gonna be a big deal after a comment like that!
