1. Thank you ladies, for letting me put this out in internet land. I'm really excited about this stuff but don't wanna drive my family/friends crazy with my excitement- sorry if this is long but I feel kinda like show and tell!
OKAY! So much stuff finally came together in the last week
FI and I decided on our entrees- sans tasting- our caterer has us pick 4 (sit down dinner) and we went with:
Risotto Croquette (Veg)
Free Range Chicken stuffed with wild mushrooms and goat cheese
Shrimp and Crab Stuffed Sole
Prime Rib (we're not huge fans, but it's a classic and his brothers really love it)
My sister (AKA my entire bridal party) got her dress and she LOVES it and it looks awesome. It's this dress from David's Bridal (see pic) that is the perfect combo of elegant and modern and seems to flatter 90% of people which is pretty incredible. If you're STILL looking for bridesmaid's dresses, check it out. (It came in in a week after she ordered it). She got it in Navy.
THEN I DIY'd some peacock feather boutinerres- wasn't sure how they'd turn out but they look GREAT! This pic is a little dark but you get the idea-
Then today I met with the organist at my church and picked out the music- FI is still out to sea so I then basically had to play back recordings/send him to youtube but he LOVED what I picked. They're all really happy, peppy songs that make you just want to start skipping.
This is what we're walking out to after they say 'we now pronounce you man and wife'
Things still to do:
Commit to invites (very hard to do as FI is the one who cares about these. I'd just as soon send emails....)
Finish sewing my veil. Cathedral Mantilla Veil. French Lace. Little ambitious? Yes. Looking fantastic? Very.
Get FI back on dry land and find him a tux.
And a bunch of other stuff that will all get done.
