FI calls me today saying we got a letter from the condo management company saying it had been brought to their attention that "there is excessive noise and activity" coming from our unit, possibly from exercising. Really? We belong to a gym. We use the gym facilities at the condo too. I have exercised in our place, which is on the top floor of the building, but maybe 4 to 5 times in the last 3 months. Plus I don't do high impact stuff. It's weights or some dancing around or some salsa dance...just light activity if any.
FI works evenings so he's not making noise, plus I have only lived here for three weeks. This has supposedly been going on for two months. FI called the lady who wrote the letter and while she couldn't tell us who alleged the issue, she read him the e-mail and it said it had been going on for a couple months and sounds like someone running on a treadmill and is making the walls rattle. Yet, the management company did not ask us anything about this. How do they know this isn't just an annoyed neighbor? And how do I know what to change if I have no dates of anything happening? The date and time she received the e-mail, we weren't even home.
I'm not saying they don't have an issue, though I really don't know what it would be. I'm usually on the laptop on the couch. I just think the management company dropped the ball by not even checking out the allegations. So frustrating.
ETA: We don't have any exercise machines.
