XP: Makeup Trial Pics, Cake Design, and My Shoes

Hi Ladies,

I had my makeup trial yesterday.  I love the MUA and hired her because her personality is great and I love her ability to listen to what I want and to work with me until I am happy.

Now let me say I wear little to no makeup on a daily basis and my FH loves my natural look. In fact wearing makeup to me these days means mascara and clear lipgloss.  So yesterday's ending look was nice but my FH, who dropped my the house to be nosy, thought it was too much.  He called my eyelashes fly catchers.  LOL!! 

Anyway, here are some pics.  I figure for the wedding day I am going to have to tell her to find a compromise between camera ready makeup and the natural look.







Now on to cake!!  I came across this design and was sold.  LOVE IT!  This is my inspriattion pic that I am taking with me to my baker appointments next month.  I saw it on weddingwire.com while browsing.








Finally, here are my shoes.  Four inches!!  I must be crazy especially as I don't wear heels but I love the glam look.  If I fall going down the aisle at least I will look good going down.  Hee-Hee.

The cake and shoes are to die for!!!!! Love them and great choices. As for your makeup, it looks great! Its simple and still natural looking. He might not like your eyelashes but honestly they are very tastefully done. They look natural and like you just added a great lengther mascara on top of your natural lashes.

Question, how much longer are the lashes versus your natural ones?

Your makeup looks fantastic! And yeah, if your natural lashes are that long, you might not need any "help," unless you just want some volume. Lucky lady!

I'm a big fan of natural looking makeup and yours is gorgeous!! I'm doing fake lashes too and I was surprised at how natural fake lashes look! I was thinking drag queen lol but they are actually so pretty. I wish I had them on all the time!

Agree with PP that your makeup did look very natural and maybe you just need thick fake lashes as opposed to long!  Not every day, but maybe when you guys go out to dinner and such you should try wearing a little more makeup so your FI can get used to it a little.  My FI is the same way and if it was up to him I'd roll out of bed and throw on a dress!  I like natural makeup myself but not quite that natural.  If you ease him into it it may help him feel its you under all that makeup on your big day.

Gorgeous cake.  Love the shoes.  I'd recommend a lower back up pair though.  I originally bought 4" heels too (I wear heels every day though) but the more I though about it, the more I realized walking down the aisle and the first dance were going to be difficult.  So I went out and bought a 2.5" or 3" heel for those purposes and then will swtich into my scandalous shoes!  Just a suggestion

I think you look amazing.  FI will change his mind when the package is complete.  I don't think you need to change anything.

Haha my FI also questioned me when I told him I want false eyelashes for the wedding. I think he thinks I'll look like a whore or something. He doesn't like when I wear makeup, which is 99% of the time because I freakin LOVE makeup, but whatever.

Anyway, I think your makeup looks great and those shoes are fabulous!

The cake is beautiful.  Good choice.  I'm loving the shoes.  I'm debating the heal height myself but I'm leaning toward nice high ones.
