Personal Attendant?

 I am just wondering how many of you are having a Personal Att in your wedding?  I haven't asked anyone yet. My aunt has been the P.A. for all my cousin's weddings but I just don't know if I need one.

I wouldn't do it unless you hire someone or someone specifically volunteers to be your "personal assistant". A lot of people advise against doing this, because it can make them feel like it's a consolation prize for not being good enough to be in the wedding party. I personally would be offended if someone asked me to do this - would you really want to have to run around after the bride all day?

I know some cultures do this, but I personally find the idea very offensive. I won't have one because I don't want to make anyone I love run around and do my bidding all day, I want them to enjoy themselves. Any little details that need sorted out either I will do, or our Wedding Coordinator can take care of, that's why I have her lol

I think the term sounds offensive but there are people who will be helping me out. I didn't really have to ask; ppl just offered. I have a friend who is doing our makeup and will help my DOC with set up if required but her shirt says "team bride" which is prob a bit more politically correct lol

I have a bridal attendant, but this person is a vendor that is contracted through my venue. I also have a wedding coordinator (through the venue).

I don't think I like the idea. It does kind of seem like a consolation prize for not being BM. You can absolutely have your aunt there on your wedding day, but you don't need to call her anything.

I am not a fan of the PA. I don't think you'll need one: your WP and FMIL/Aunts/Mom and Grandmas (or whoever) can help you if you need it.

This exactly.  If someone asked me to be their "personal attendant" I would be like "Oh goodie, I'd get to be your slave for the day" and then pass on the request.
