24 days! Bridesmaid gift idea?

Hello! I'm thinking about getting my girls manicures the day before the wedding for their gift. What are you ladies doing? I dont want to get them something lame that they will never use. I thought this would be a nice time to spend together to relax a little. I might also get them a necklace of some kind....or perfume they like....not sure yet. Smile

  • If you want to pay for their nails, that's fine, but that doesn't count as a gift. It's something related to your wedding. I think jewelry (not jewelry that they would wear for the wedding) or perfume would be nice.

  • I think that is a good idea!  I only have 3 BMs, so my expenses won't be too bad for their gifts.  I ordered some cute tote bags off of Etsy and filled it with lip balm, a necklace to weat for the wedding, earrings to wear for the wedding, flip flops for the reception, a Tervis cup that represents their personality/lkes, an ornament I made with the wedding colors and their name and role on it, and a homemade hanger with the wire that has their name on it.  I'm thinking of getting them something else small too, like an individual thing for each girl...  We are going on Friday before the rehearsal to get manis/pedis, but I don't think I'm going to pay for those...  I may surprise them though and pay.

I have 4 girls and I think they would love getting their nails done. So I think I'll do that. There is a nail "bar" and they have wine there so we could get a glass of wine while we have our nails done. =)  I like what you did too! I think I'll do the nail thing and either get them a necklace or perfume too.
  • I'd definitely do something extra even if it's small that's more "gifty" than just the nails.

I am doing a tote bag (not personalized) and am still deciding on what things to fill it with.  Most likely booze.
  • I made a basket filled with items from bath & body works.  I am also paying for their hair/ make up on the wedding day. (I have 5 girls total) MOH, 3 BM & 1 Junior BM
  • I like the nail idea!  I did Tote Bags with matching makeup bags, Picture Frame, Necklace, and bracelet

I agree with this. Definitely get them something small like purfume that is separate from the wedding. I only have my two sisters in our wedding so I'm doing a lot for them. I'm paying for their hair and make up for the wedding and I got them cute beach bags from etsy, coach wristlets, pashminas, flip flops and Tiffany necklaces as well as jewelry to wear the day of the wedding. I've been buying stuff for them since last summer so when it's all spread out like that it's easier to budget.
  • I got mine pretty jewelry: necklaces and earrings. They *can* wear them at the wedding, but they don't have to. I picked things that I thought they would definitely want to wear again. I'm also paying for their hair the day of.

  • I agree with the others.  Offering to buy their dresses or have their nails, makeup or hair done is part of the wedding and not a true gift.  Although nonetheless it is a sweet thing to offer.
