So bummed..

So I went to the post office today to weigh our save the dates and make sure the magnets didnt make it cost more than normal. Which, yay, its only the normal 45 cents, so I bought 100 of those for the STDS

bad news.. I took our invitation mock up (a square pocketfold from cardsandpockets.com)  the thing cost $1.95!!! Freakin 2 bucks an invite! ... Has me totally re-thinking what we do for our invitations...

follow my heart and get the invitations I want and suck it up and just pay the money.. .
or figure out a whole new game plan? blah

OR am i just total dumb and in the dark that any invitation is going to cost that much?

I figured out its going to cost about $5 an invite (to make and mail) he grabs the calculator and goes " well look at it this way, for every $5 invite we send out, we could get a $50 gift" and showed me how much that would be and we both started laughing

he really gets how to take my mind off how stupid little things are and just make me laugh and get over it

really $5 a person is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, if we get the invites we love and be happy.. we can always work a little more and

She's wrong! It does NOT have to be sent parcel post -- it's just a nonmachinable letter! I would go back and speak with someone else!!!

Also, for those ladies who were told it's so much more; it's really not. it's only a 20 cent nonmachinable charge. I mean that can add up, but like $20 for 100 invitations -- hardly a fortune.
