my FI grandfather passed away saturday

he was the only grandparent that was left and now hes gone
i feel so bad for my FI, pap was such a great man! i definately dont want this to be how he remembers the wedding, and to make matters worse, he died on the day of my FI bachlore party.

that's awful..............so sorry for this huge loss.  Maybe you and FI can discuss a way to honor him at the wedding though.  That way you are reminded that he is there with you in spirit.

i am so sorry for your loss! it is always a terrible thing to happen, especially at at time like this! like pp said, perhaps have some way to honor him at the ceremony?

i am going through something similar..my fi's grandfather is not doing well at all. we already know he won't be attending the wedding, but i'm just praying he survives though it so we have time to spend with him in his last few days.

So sorry for your loss.  I lost my grandfather a few days ago, and I know how difficult it can be to have to deal with wedding stuff while you're trying to grieve.  Your wedding will be a happy day, despite the recent loss.  There may be a slight dampener on the day, but don't worry about your FI always associating his loss with the wedding.  Just be there for your FI right now, and don't pressure him to do wedding stuff if he doesn't absolutely have to.
