A huge YAY!!! (NWR)

So I called FI today because there were some issues financing the ATV we decided to buy. I wanted to touch base with him to see if he thought the issues were big enough to prevent us from buying it. We talked about it, and then he informed me that none of it mattered because HE GOT A NEW JOB! He has worked for years as a member of a safety crew of a local racetrack, but today the owner offered him a full time job all summer to do maintenance and groundswork on the place, and then, all his safety crew duties would be considered OT pay! So he would be working 50-60 hours a week and getting paid a good penny for it! They also gave him a $1/hr raise over what he was making!

Then, when I called the ATV dealership I was easily able to talk the guy into knocking the price down! We are getting a 4 month old ATV for DIRT CHEAP.

On top of all of this, I was browsing around online and randomly stumbled upon some local job listings. I did some clicking around and saw that this one agriculture supply company near us has a posting and the candidate they are looking for 100% describes me! I was so excited i could scream. I am going to clean up my resume and apply for it tonight. It lists the pay and if I made that, I would be set.

I'm so happy I could.... I don't even know, I could just...... EXPLODE.

That's all awesome!!! When I first saw the "A huge YAY" I thought it was going to be for your ceremony spot but then saw the "(NWR)." But still so awesome. FI is working on a business opportunity right now so I'm praying to feel the same financial security you are feeling! Must be so nice and such a relief. GL with your resume.

Argh, yeah that sadly is not a YAY yet. As usual, they haven't called me back like they said they would. But I will give them a little more time.

I also convinced my FI to finally just give me his money and let me do the financial stuff. This way, I know whats getting paid when, and how much is going towards savings/wedding/etc. He tends to cash his checks and just walk around with a large sum of money on him and I have NO idea what he does with it all, so now I will! How do you girls work out money matters with your man?

Everything goes into our joint account and I pay the bills out of that. I keep track of everything in Quicken and budget for the month so I know what we can spend and what we have to save for bills.
