Lunch and a Question

Good afternoon, Ladies -

I'm running late again.  Sorry!  I just finished eating my lunch.  I had the brocoli and cheddar dip with pita bread lean cuisine.  It is so yummy!  What did you have?

NWR question this week, as I need a break from wedding stuff.  I read the "Hunger Games" this past weekend and really liked it.  I am reading "Catching Fire" now.  Anyone else reading these?  Have you/will you see the movie?  I'd like to see the movie too, but I'm scared it won't be as good as the book.

The pita lean cuisines are pretty good! I like the artichoke dip one, too!
I'm eating a smart ones mac and cheese and granola thing.

I have read the Hunger Games books. I saw the movie. I enjoyed it... I've never felt that movies based off of books are as good though.

  • I had a shake and an apple with peanut butter.  I haven't read any of the HGs and I haven't read the other one :(  I really want to.  I refuse to see the movie without reading the books because books are always WAY better than the movie, IMO.

I'm planning to try the artichoke one next.  I feel the same way about movies based off books, which is why I'm not sure I want to spend the money to see it in the theater.  I may just wait and rent it.

  • I agree that the book is always better than the movie.  But, having read the books and seen the movie, I can say I enjoyed both.  I really loved the books, and while a few aspects of the movie were a let down, it was still a really good on screen adaptation.

  • I usually do my fun reading during the summer months while we're at the cottage ;)I do so much other ready all day every day between work and school that I'm burned out by the end of the day. Other than Mercer Meyer's Little Critters series, I'm not reading much these days lol
Lunch was the usual - omelet and greek yogurt.

  • I had venison steak left overs from last night that were grilled in Merlot sauce. My Fi is a fantastic cook :)

I don't read books, ever, and I cannot stand any movies that are "trendy." I never saw any Harry Potter, LotR, Narnia, Avatar, etc. It took me forever to see Transformers, and I really liked those, but mostly for all the Chevy vehicles in them.
  • I had left over chicken BBQ some potato salad and adamame.

I read the Hunger Games Trilogy recently I loved the books I read the whoel series in under 2 weeks hoping to get to the movie, but still haven't its at our drive in so hopefully we'll get there soon.

  • Lunch was... nothing. We were slammed at work.

I've read the first two books and saw the movie. I have to say they're pretty good. I wish they were executed in a more adult manner and now Katniss is getting... kind of whiney and dramatic (I worry it'll continue =/) but they still have me interested. I'm trying to get the third book from the library and I'll definitely be seeing the next two movies.
  • Had a cold roast beef sandwich for lunch. I actually just downloaded the hunger games onto my tablet last night!!! It's the next book on my reading list. I won't go see the movie(s) until I have finished the books...... I always think the books are  WAY better!!
  • Lunch was a shake.

I read all 3 of the Hunger Games and really enjoyed them. While I did enjoy the movie I agree with PP's, books are always WAY better!
  • I had a shake for lunch.

I read the books and saw the movie.  I have a horrible memory when it comes to books and movies, so luckily it had been a year or two since I'd read the books when I saw the movie.  It was like it was a new story on me.  That said, I did enjoy the movie, and I can be a relatively tough critic.

Hang on, how did you get it for your tablet? I was home sick yesterday and was going to download it to our ipad, but found that it wasn't available as an e-book yet. Am I missing something? Maybe a tablet is completely different...

I read them all on my kindle so you should be able to find them as an ebook
  • Lunch was PB&J, blueberry acai yogurt, and a 100 calorie snack pack of cookies.

I really enjoyed the HG books, but I wasn't entirely happy with the way the series ended. I liked the movie as well, particularly the cinematography.
