I have to say, I am kind of glad to hear this! I'm 24 and will be 25 in August. I'm so happy to be getting married, but in the rest of my life (i.e. my career) I still feel so lost and unsettled! I won't have a job in about a month and I'm still unsure of what I even want to do with my life. It kind of freaks me out, but I've been hearing sooooo many people lately say that their 30s are better than 20s and that is a comfort!

I'm 26, will be 27 when we get married. FI is 29, and will be 30 when we get married. We've been together 12 years (HS sweethearts) so this is a LONG time coming. Honestly, I think the realization that 30 was approaching really got FI in gear to get moving on this. We've been together so long, lived together for 7 years, and owned a home together for 4 years. I think he always thought there was plenty of time, and then all of a sudden 30 just crept right up....haha. I had really wanted to be done having kids by the time I was 30 but I just don't know that will happen.

I'm 25 and FI is 27, he'll turn 28 in March.  I feel like a old bride compared to most of the girls around here.  They got married really young and some even have multiple children.  I just wasn't ready for all that.  I'm ready for the marriage but not the kids yet!  LOL  We're going to wait at least 4 years before we start trying.

My FI turned 28 two weeks ago and I turn 28 on Friday!!!!!!!!!!! I used to be scared of my 30's but now that I know I will be married to the love of my life I can't wait!!!

As of yesterday, Feb. 6th, I am 25 and FI will be 28, May 6th. (easier to remember birthdays when they are on the same day. lol) I always pictured being married already or close to it. So I guess I'm on track with my thoughts. I do feel younger seeing how old all my cousins were and such getting married but I have always been VERY mature for my age (mentally). So I am okay with it:) Plus FI is just the best man I could EVER ask for.  I've been helping FI raise his 3 kids since I was 19 almost 20. So I'm okay waiting a little bit for kids of my own, which I did think I would have by now also. I'm happy with how its working out!

I will be 33 on our wedding day and turn 34 shortly after. FI will have just turned 35. We already own a house and are established in our careers. We plan to start working on a family right after the wedding.

I will be 27 this month, so I just picked that option.  FI is 33 and will be 34 when we get married. he already has 2 kids from his first marriage and I have one... we do not want any more.

I'm turning 25 in March, FI just turned 26.  I think I thought I'd be married before now, but I was pseudo-engaged once before and I'm glad I didn't marry him.  Not a maturity thing, just realize it wasn't right.  I say "pseudo" because compared to this, that didn't ever feel real.  Very happy now :0)
I'd like to have kids sooner than FI, so we're compromising.  I'd like to start trying about a year after we get married, he wants to wait til we're 30.  We're compromising and gunning for about 2 years later.

I'm 30 and my FI is 34. If you asked me back in HS I would have thought I'd be married wilth 2 kids by now, but its amazing how time flies when you are having fun. The weekend of our wedding will be our 6 year anniversary and 1 year engagement. We didn't really plan for it to happen all on the same weekend, but that weekend has always stood out to us so it worked out well.

There is a small difference between FI and I. I am currently 25, will be 26 when we get married and he is 31, will be 32 when we get married.

I will be 26 when we get married, and FI will be 24... yes I am marrying a younger man! I ask him from time to time if he is sure he wants to do this because he is rather young (especially for a guy) or if it weirds him out at all that he will be married. He says he's totally ok with it and can't wait! Actually, he is the one who whines about not having kids yet! I usually have to bring him back to reality and tell him by NO means are we ready for that! One thing at a time! Hahah.

I just turned 27 in October, FI will turn 30 two weeks before our wedding. Been together seven years and both of us decided that it was time to get married. He still jokes that we are "rushing things" and should wait at least seven more years. *eyeroll* Neither of us want kids, so we're not trying to start a family or anything.

I am 21 and will be 22 when I get married. My FI is 25 and will be 26 when we are married. Our birthdays are very close, mine is April 17 his is April 19 he is just older in age. We have been together 5 years, 6 when we are married but I have known him for 14!

Geez!  I just turned 33 last week and apparently it's only me and 2 other girls here that are this "old!" lol  But as I tell FI all the time, I will never be as old as he is.   He is 39 and will be 40 just before the wedding (his second marriage, my first).

I will be a month shy of my 29th birthday on our wedding day. He proposed to me a few hours before my birthday in October. He wanted to make sure I got to enjoy both events individually. My FI will be 26.

I always thought that I would be married by 25 and having kids by 30. The kids part is still a small possibility. We have been together for 7 years. We wanted to make sure we were both ready for this step.

I'm 26. FI turns 28 in July. We've been together since I was 18.

I wanted to be DONE having children by the time I was 30. I always pictured myself as a young mom. But, FI wants to wait at least a year after the wedding to start trying, and I don't want kids back to back.

I am 25 will be 26 when we get married and FI is 26 will be 27 when we get married. In high school everyone figured I would be the first one married from my group and now I will be the second to last to get married. I never wanted to get married young in my teens always planned on getting married in my twenties after graduation of college and working a few years. We plan on having kids in 3 to 4 years after marriage. I have always wanted kids and I love my god children and future nieces and nephews so kids were a no brainer.

Another baby (kind of)! 

 I just turned 24, so I will be 24 for the wedding. My fiance Tim just turned 22. We are exactly 11 months apart, so for one month I am only a year older than him. 

@AlyssaC -- I know what you mean! We are definitely more "old souls". I get worried sometimes beause when people hear that Tims only 22, I think that they automatically assume we're too young and it wont work. But I really think that has nothing to do with it.

Alyssa, I'm glad I'm not the only baby here! lol And, this is random, but you seriously look like an old friend from high school. I mean, I creeped on you awhile back to see if your name was Jaclyn and you lived in SC at some point. lol!

ekk, FI and I started dating when I was 17. We've known we were going to get married from early on, it was just a matter of timing and money. We've heard for awhile that we're (mostly me) too young. That has absolutely nothing to do with it. I feel like as long as you know each other and understand the meaning of marriage and wha love really is (not fairy tail sweetness), then you'll have the same chance anyone else does. What's funny is, at some point, people started getting on our case about taking so long to get married. What do you want?! haha
