Accountability - Thursday

SO I spent last night in bed/on the couch for the most part feeling HORRIBLE. Feeling a bit better today, so hoping to get some working out in. I did walk the dogs yesterday, so I didn't skip out on EVERYTHING, just didn't do much...

How's everyone's week going? What about eating habits? I have been slacking there a bit, mainly in the snack department. Going grocery shopping after work today to pick up more fruits/veggies to snack on.

  • I'm finally getting accountable... went to the gym 2x already this week.  Yesterday with FI for 2 hours!  He's a Marine, and incredibly fit, and he's also very patient, so he's a great coach/trainer.  I worked out way more than I would have on my own, burned at least 400 calories (1 mile run in 13 minutes, 3 sets of 10 cleans with an 55 lb bar, 2 sets of 10 thrusters with a 45 lb bar, 50 squats, 50 push-ups with my legs on a ball, 50 sit-ups, 50 man-makers with 10 lb dumb bells).  And then another 1 mile run in 14 minutes (tried to beat the 13 minute mile, but I was dying!).  Ooof!

    I hurt today.  A lot.  And I'm going back to the gym tonight for more punishment!

    Anniversary

  • We're the opposite at our house. I did 6 years in the army and am the big fitness buff and FI has never been too interested in it before we got together so I help to lead him through things and coach him :)
  • Fourth of July celebrations got the best of me and I re-set the alarm that was set to get me up iin time for a run :( Tomorrow and Sunday morning I'll definitely be able to run though so no excuses!
  • Yesterday was a bust but I'm going to get back on track today! Weight lifting and working on legs today so no cardio scheduled but I may add it in since I missed yesterday.
