I'm making my own invites and using a kit of sorts. Instead of an invite kit though I used a bulletin kit from office max. We are doing online RSVPs so all the enclosures weren't necessary. Anyways I love them and that they are different. Below is the cover and then you open it like a booklet and the information is inside. So on the cover the example print they sent with the kits is the couples names and date. I felt this was standard but also done because they are more meant for programs than invites. Since our names and date will be inside the invite obviously, I thought it would be cool to put a quote on the cover instead. I love quotes...i have a whole notebook full of my favorites. So after looking for a quotes for a while a lot of them about love are cliche or cheesy or just not "us" (or too long to fit in that little box haha). So I found the Emily Bronte wuote (had heard it before but forgot) "Whatever two souls are made of, his and mine are the same." I thought it was perfect...bold, meaningful, and not uber sappy or corny. I hadn't even thrown out the idea of a quote to FI but wanted to be prepared before I did. With him away I seem to only get about a 5 minute window a day where I can hold his attention on wedding stuff before he gets distracted by work or twists it into a blatantly sexual joke because we haven't seen each other in two weeks and are crawling out of our skin haha.
So this morning I mentioned the idea and he said he liked it but what quote. I told him and he had the best reaction "Wow! I really like that one. That's perfect!" Yay! A decision made and agreed upon exactly how I wanted it. I love when that happens!
