So i kept taking my time and i founbd out that the venue i wanted for my wedding is taken. now i have to go and look for another venue. i have not done any planning yet. i feel so bummed.

    That's rough!  I'm so sorry.  At least now you know how important it is to book a vendor if you love it.  You still have time to find a great place, just get crackin!

    Oh no! That is definitely a bummer :( Theres definitely times in life when its hard to fit in a lot of planning. Like PP said, can you change your date at all? I dont know if you were looking for an outdoor wedding, but I have heard that November is a slow month for weddings, so you may be able to change to a different month where there is a better chance that the venue you want is available. Try your local boards on here too -- you may see some suggestions of venues that are just as awesome but you didnt know about before. Good luck -- keep us updated on your search!!

    Aw, I'm sorry.
    Have you tried looking at http://www.herecomestheguide.com/ to find a new venue? I am getting married in the Monterey area and have found it to be a good resource, as well as Yelp. I know the local boards for California aren't too busy theknot. Where are you looking to get married? Maybe we can help you find a new venue!

    I've tried asking you before, but haven't found any responses.

    I am also a CenCal bride, though my profile says Montana.  I live in MT now, but lived in CA forr 28 years.  8 of those years I worked as a florist, so I can possibly help you with a venue, if you're interested. 

    Where do you live?  County- or PM me if you don't want everyone to know.  But when you do PM, let me know.

    Hi everyone thanks!
    yes! i finally found a place In Reedley ca its a bed and breakfast vintage place! we love it. and we only got it for 2,000 and it has a hall incase the weather gets bad, even though i am having a outside garden wedding! I am going with the set date of sept 22 2012!! thanks everyone! next is getting this catering done! i am so behind, but i will pull through it! thanks again ladies you all are wonerful..
