Tell me:  Why did you choose it/why is it important to you?

I'll go first...

Mine was taken as "E-pics" at the Common by a coworker who I think does a wonderful job  I chose this picture because I think it captures us best... it's not posed but very natural and his smile in it makes my heart melt.

I chose mine because it is the first picture of my fiance and I after our engagement. We got engaged at the Falcons/Saints Monday Night game.  It was the most amazing night not only because we got engaged, but also because the Saints won the game, won their division, beat their division rival and Drew Brees broke Dan Marino's single season passing yards record. (Yes, I'm a huge football nut) It's not the BEST picture of us, but it's the most meaningful to me.

I love our pic; and aparently so do newspapers! haha It's been used in ads in newspapers and department stores!
The story behind it... It was taken by a stock photographer we met while vacationing in Costa Rica last January. We met him by the pool and he asked FI and I if we'd "model" for him. We got to keep all the photos and got paid a little, and we signed off on the shots so they could be sold to anyone needing that type of photo.
I love it because it was our first real getaway together and it was gorgeous. We loved Costa Rica and really had a chance to just be together; I had a child when we first met so it was 3 of us from the get go.

ours is one of the pictures our photographer took during our engagement session. i think it really captures us more "in the moment" and less posed. i wish the sunlight wasn't behaving the way it was, but i think our photographer thought that was artistic or something. anyway, i think it shows "us" and we look genuinely happy instead of posed smiling.

i had a hard time picking it. i wish i had more pictures of us. we've been friends for so long, part of me wanted to use one of the pictures from when we had first met. we both look really silly and young, but i think it's cute (i was 15, he was 16). it's going in our slideshow for sure.

Our pic was taken July 2010 at a friend's wedding.  FI was a "parking attendant" (I'll share this story below) so he had to dress up. He doesn't really ever smile in pictures, and he kinda is here.  Most all of our other pictures are me doing the self portrait thing, so I really like this one.  After his job was over he was back to his normal shirts and blue jeans. My favorite picture is the first picture we ever took, the night we started dating at another friend's wedding.  I love it because of the memory, he hates his look in the picture. 

I did the flowers for the friend's wedding. 71 F**king bouts and corsages.  71!  They had so many people doing "jobs."  Cake cutters, punch pourers, door greeters, parking guys, ushers, program hander outers, aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas.  FI grew up with the groom and he didn't want to say no.  The tie was his gift.  It sits in a drawer with my scarves.

So I hope I added my Siggy right, this is the first time I have put one on! This picture was taken of us at his friends destination wedding in Marco Island. We drove 25 hours to get there and 25 hours back and while there we had the funnest time of our lives and learned so much more about eachother in a good way. Everyone said if we made it through the drive we could make it through anything and we had the funnest time. So fun that we are actually driving to our honeymoon in the Florida Keys (28 hours)!

Our picture was taken at Epcot after our first dinner there. The waitress had gotten us "Just Engaged" pins do we were wearing them and the photographer took such a pretty shot that I ended up buying the whole darn cd when we got home. Anyways this was our first Disney vacation together, right after he proposed (at home so he wouldnt lose the ring on the way down), on the first night there, and we both look so happy. I love it!

It was difficult to choose one photo, but I chose this one because of the memories we had on this trip. Last winter, we did Rome, Tuscany and Venice with my 5 year old daughter. I'll never forget Venice because it was my second time there and first time for my daughter and FI. Venice is my favorite place in the world and my daughter could not stop talking about the gondolas there. She loved it. FI had previous inclincations that he wouldn't like Venice but he ended up falling in love with it. We had such a good time and so much fun with each other, it holds a special place in my heart and always will. I am also considering getting a tattoo on my foot of a gondola.

Mine's a little obnoxious because I couldn't pick just one.  I could have used several, but narrowed it down to one of us at a Tiger's game because we both LOVE baseball (and hockey, a Red Wings picture was on the ballot lol) and it shows us being casual, then a more formal one on NYE ause my ring is in it and we both look nice lol.

The quote is the "defines love for me" part of this month's callenge.  It's a Dr Seuss quote that I'm working into my stationery and theme.  It's SO us, and I tear up almost every time I read it lol.  We've said from the beginning that we're both so weird that we're perfect for each other.

My photo was taken in France (at Versailles) just a few days after we got engaged. He proposed on a vacation in London and we took the train to Paris the next day. I'm holding the camera myself, it was cold and super windy so both of our hair is kind of crazy, I have no makeup on, but I just remember that trip being so amazing and romantic, and both of us being so happy. This photo just embodies that feeling for me and I love it.

The first picture is of DD & FI, I chose this one of them because I absolutely LOVE the way they are looking at each other. This is just a random picture they took to try out the camera on her new laptop. 

The second one is a picture that represents love to me. My dear hubby is a "farm/woodsy" kinda guy. He hates the beach (sand!) and anything to do with it, as a surprise 50th birthday present he planned/took me on a cruise to Cancun!! All because he loves me & knew I would LOVE it!!

Mine was taken at Navy Pier in Chicago, IL. We went for an extra long weekend and had such a good time. We saw a concert, toured the city, and went to a White Sox game. We are going back to Chicago at the end of June and I can't wait! Also it is where my parents met and went on their first date.

I chose to do the "defines love for you" option instead of the "picture you love" option.  Of course, these fit both categories well, but there are lots of pics I love that don't necessarily define love.  When I see these, my heart warms.

The first is a picture of my fiance and our dog.  I know, I know.  We had just driven the 12 hours back to Georgia (where we were living at the time) from PA.  We were engaged just 5 days previous and were beyond excited to be picking up our puppy- who was Fi's Christmas present last year.  She was teeny tiny- a mere 6 pounds- and we were in love instantly.  This isn't his first picture with her, but was taken that first night.  You can see how quickly she had his heart.

The second is a picture from early summer 2007.  Please excuse my hair haha.  Fi was living in Georgia and I was still in PA and planning to move down in October.  Because I was saving money for the move, I hadn't been to Georgia to see him since January and was working 60+ hours a week.  The picture was taken at a get-together during the week he came up to visit in the summer.  I had to crop it, because I'm actually sitting on his lap in the grass wearing a strapless shirt, which he has pulled down to my hips thinking he was funny.  Our close friend (actually- the one who is marrying us) managed to catch the picture at the exact moment he did so.  I'm wearing a strapless bra and covering myself as well, but you know someone would get offended and report me.  I love how we're laughing and just look so in love in the picture.  I wish I could frame it haha.

Jacqui, I did the same thing with mine!

My first picture isn't my absolute favorite of my FI and I but it represents our love. A pinky promise to one another to stick out the good, the bad, and the down-right crazy. That's what love is to us.  A promise to one another

The other picture is my FI and our cat Apple when she was a kitten. We had her about 3 days when I took this picture. I just love the way she's staring at him and he's loving it. She sat staring at him for the longest time. Too cute!

I chose this one because we were the only ones on the beach watching the sunset. We set up the camera on a timer and I love how he is looking at me and how the sun reflects on us.
