Invitation wording

Do I need to include the names of my parents and his parents on the invitation if they are all helping out financially? His parents are divorced and his Dad is remarried, so do I put my parents, his dad and step-mom, and mom?

Mr. and Mrs. John Doe
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Smith
Ms. Mary Lee

Or 

Together with their parents

I know most of your probably already have your invitations ordered and done, so i need to get this ball rolling!

I listed everyone.  I had mentioned together with their families to my mom and I got that response where she said she was fine with it but didn't sound fine with it.  To me, it was easiest to include everyone (and FI's parents are divorced I should mention).  It actually doesn't look as wordy as I had thought.

I just wrote about this on the "E" board - I would ask both sets of parents once you decide on wording to make sure nobody gets their feelers hurt.

Our wording was:
Callmefia and Mr. Fia invite you to share in the joy as they unite in marriage and begin their new lives together.

Both sets of parents are supposedly helping but we have paid the majority so far (well besides my dress that mom took care of!)

ETA: I probably misworded our invite reading exactly but you get the idea.... its probably begin their new life together. It was a standard wording on the website we ordered from.

I agree with asking the family members to make sure no one gets hurt.  Easy enough to ask.  I think Together with Their Families is fine and succinct but not worth drama if someone would be really upset

I did 'together with their families'. With both of us having lost our fathers, my mother's boyfriend now in the mix, etc it was just the easiest way.

I went 'together with their families, 'cause "we're paying for just about all of this except for a few items for which we are INCREDIBLY grateful, but seriously, this is our wedding, be honored if you made the cut" was too long to fit in that space.
