I'm excited! Mini vacation!

My fiance is a computer analyst and they are having a huge switchover at work with a new system.  He has been so stressed out, so we decided to take a mini vacation.  So I am taking Friday off and we are going to Chicago!  I am so excited, he is letting me go shopping at Ikea!!!!, and then the next day we are going to the Science and Industry Museum, I'm pretty pumped!

    Yup!  We are staying in Schaumburg, so I will definately hit up that mall!  My fiance is a little nerdy so he is excited to go to the science and industry museum, I haven't been there since I was little also so we will see if it is still as exciting lol!

    where in schaumburg are you staying? we're having our reception at the hyatt regency woodfield (literally between ikea and the mall), and i'm anxious for some feedback of the actual hotel.

    Oh how fun!! I would love to get away right now - but somewhere warm!! lolWe have a BIG brand new Ikea here in Ottawa - it's insanely huge. I still haven't braved the parking lot! haha

    My fiance loves lego's too!  He can spend his whole time there while I shop the whole mall lol!  We are staying at the hyatt place, which I think is different from the hyatt regency.  I've stayed at hyatt's before and they are amazing, so I am sure your wedding will be fantastic!!!!!

    Have a great time! :) FI and I love Chicago. (We also love Legos, haha) Last time we were there we took a trolley tour, shopped Michigan Avenue, and went to both Wrigley and Cellular Fields.
