Baker is booked! She is awesome and had so many helpful tips & awesome ideas. Still full from cupcakes! 

We're doing a mini cupcake tower of 3 flavors: vegan banana split, chocolate peanut butter explosion, and vanilla with white buttercream. The cupcakes we're having for favors will be regular sized & is our twist on velvet cake (the baker is experimenting with creating a pink velvet cake for us).

Love the cupcake idea!  I'm partial to it, because that's what we will be doing too  I like the idea that everyone gets their own vs. cutting awkward sized pieces of cake.  I don't care how good people are at cutting, it's never always the same.

yay, i'm thinking of doing cupcakes too! it might actually be in addition to cake, as an added surprise, but i'm not sure yet. i love that you're offering a vegan choice.

I love the idea of using cupcakes! Our venue includes a tasty and reasonably priced cake or we would probably have gone that route.

One of my BMs is vegan, she'll be super excited to have a chocie that isn't just vegan chocolate or vanilla cupcakes. Plus, the vegan banana split was FI & I's favorite cupcake of the tasting! 

BMcLeod, our colors are pink, black & ivory. So FI actually came up with the Pink Velvet idea as opposed to Red Velvet to "go with our colors." He's so helpful & creative =]

banana split sounds delicious How big are the mini cupcakes? I was thinking about going to check out your baker. Did you see the other day one of the featured cupcakes was a pan-cup-cake and bacon? I don't think that will be an option.
