Saw this on the Nest and thought I would share...For The Knot’s spring/summer 2010 regional magazines, we’re looking for brides who got married between January 2008 and August 2009 to share every detail of their wedding budgets—how much everything cost, who your vendors were and where you saved and splurged. We’ll show a few pictures from your wedding along with your budget breakdown. If you’d like us to consider featuring you, please email Meredith, mbodgas@theknot.com, with:your and your groom’s namesyour agesyour wedding datethe amount you spent on your weddingthe city and state your reception was inhow many guests you hadfour pro wedding shots: one of you and your groom and three others (any combo of your flowers, stationery, food, cake, tables, venues or favors)by Thursday, September 3rd. We’ll then send you a questionnaire to fill out.

    Huh. I MAY do this, but I don't remember the breakdown of costs. I could guess and probs be pretty accurate. Are you gonna do it, KR?

    I just read that on the DC Nest...I thought about it, but I don't know how accurately I could do a budget breakdown. I feel like I can't give a complete cost b/c I bought so many little things along the way...

    I lost my stupid budget breakdowns when my stupid computer crashed recently.  :(  So I would have to recreate it.  I'm busy at work this week, but if I have a chance before the 3rd, I might submit something.  A lot of my major savings (florist, photog, favors) were friends of my family, so that is kinda unrealistic budget advice IMO - other than to say work any family connections you have!

    Ditto about the cost - I did keep a spreadsheet with all of the big costs, but there were so many things along the way.  Like I don't have the cost breakdown for invitations, since I did them all myself so I was randomly buying pieces that I needed.I could probably give an approximation though.

    I just submitted. I was very OCD about the wedding, so I can do our breakdown, to the penny! Crossing my fingers that we get picked.
