So I think we may have our honeymoon location. We had already decided to go to Halifax, nova scotia..the east coast of Canada. I love it there and FI has yet to go. But we were struggling with finding an affordable place to stay. We don't have alot to spend, so we were hoping to find a cottage (apartment etc) located in downtown Halifax but the prices were ranging from 1500+ a week. I just find that a bit much for an apartment since we won't be there much. I finally found and confirmed pricing and availability for a 3 level home, each with a self contained apartment, about 5 min from downtown Halifax. The best thing...500 for the week.
